                                       (1 octave)

·         Prepared Piece & Sight Reading

   Allegro (Strings Only) 

                Advanced Intermediate Orchestra

                 Violin, Viola, Cello & Bass

·         Eb, Bb, F, C, D, G and A Major Scales

(2 octaves, some in third position)

·         Prepared Piece demonstrating shifting and vibrato abilities & Sight Reading

            Vivace (Full Orchestra)

              Advanced Level – High School Students

·         Requires Scales, prepared piece and sight reading

·         Violin - A Major, G Melodic Minor

·         Viola – D Major, C Melodic Minor

·         Cello – D Major, C Melodic Minor

·         Bass – F Major, G Melodic Minor (2 Octaves)

·         All scales are to be 3 octaves.

·         Bowing for all is to be 2 slurred, 2 separate, ascending.

·         Four slurred, descending

·         Woodwinds and Brass – All major scales and chromatic scale ~ detache ascending, slurred descending, mm= 120 per eighth note

·         Percussion:  Bring snare, mallets/sticks, know all rudiments.
